T H E G E N E R A L R U L E S

ONE - this rule is probably the most important in the whole set. respect the admins. we're not here to make you miserable, in fact we want the exact opposite. we made this site and we made it mainly so people like you could have a fun place to roleplay, so please don't insult or even bash us. insulting is one thing, insulting and threatening (bashing) is even worse. we would never do it to you, so don't do it to us.

TWO - so number two is very similar to the first. respect your fellow role players. we hate it when people take the rp fights to real life and start unnecessary arguments about whether or not your character did something that was justified. it's stupid and very immature. so please, keep the fights to the threads, no one wants to see them. and i don't want to deal with them.

THREE - when signing up for this site, you may register however you like. but, after you've figured out what your character's name is going to be, please change your display to the name all caps with a period at the end, like so: DAKOTA RILEY KINGSTON.
it makes everything flow better and besides, it looks pretty <3

FOUR - this site does have a word count. and that number is 150 words. i don't want to go overboard for those new to roleplay. so that will be the minimum, but i would like to ask that you at least try to match the word count of the person you're roleplaying with. if they stick you with a 1000+ word reply and you can't handle that, i'll understand. but don't just give them a dainty little two paragraph reply either. just try to match your rp partner's posts, that's all i ask.

FIVE - UPDATED AS OF 08-09-2010 buried alive is rated pg-13. proboards finally got pissy and sent me a message. sorry folks but it can't be mature or BA will be shut down. please modify any existing posts that may be mature in content. again, sorry for the rule change, i just don't want this site to be shut down.

SIX - now, about this little thing we love to call, the cbox. i would love it if you did the following. or, more or less, didn't do the following. do not spam, advertise in or bash the site/members of this site in the cbox. if it's a member that is doing this, i will confront you about it. if it continues, i will take action. all advertising should be done in the forum designated for advertising. and spamming, well it's just not nice. the cbox is there specifically for communicating with other members and guests. not for you random typing pleasures. the third part of this rule coordinates well with the second rule. if i find people harassing other members or even guests harassing members, i will do something about it. so just please, don't do it.

SEVEN - alrighty, first off... i'm sorry these are so damn long! XD anyway, all ic posts should be typed up in third person, unless of course it's an ic game then it doesn't matter. but, i've seen some pretty weird things and third person just makes it so much easier for everyone, don't ya think? they must also be typed in size one font. it makes it all neat and pretty.

EIGHT - NO GOD MODDING! if i find this, i will give you a warning. if it continues after that warning, i will suspend your account. it's rude and unfair. if you don't know what it is, then look it up.

NINE - onto those gorgeous graphics everyone loves so much. avatars are not able to be worked into the layout currently so if you're having a signature, it may not exceed 500 pixels in width and 300 in height. what does this mean? you are not allowed to stretch the board! that's what that means.

TEN - before roleplaying in any way, you must first post your application. once your application is accepted you may make all of your claims. and i mean all of them, it takes five minutes and i don't want to hear you complain that someone stole your playby when you should've just claimed it in the first place.

ELEVEN - again, i'm sorry this is so long, but i promise this is the last general rule. plot with people, if you see that someone has a plot request up and no one has replied to it, then you reply to it. one, it's a nice thing to do and who knows, you might just come up with a kick ass plot. and two, it'll help draw new members in. by the way, the secret code words are 'welcome to your nightmare' if they see that people are willing to plot with others, well okay it won't automatically make them join. but it will help their decision.

TWELVE - this kind of goes with eleven but it must be stated; please no character relationships when the playby's are kristin stewart and robert pattinson! this is not a particular tv show/movie shipping party! i do realize that not all characters will be able to find a match but if you can help it, please try to make it with someone they aren't known to be with on the silver screen. if i do find that you are doing it on purpose, consequences will be given. just try and break out of the normal/ordinary shippings, okay?

T H E S P E C I F I C R U L E S

ONE - this is a werewolf, vampire, wizard/witch, and normal human rp. this means, NO OTHERS. if i find anything beyond these specifications, you will be asked to delete the character or change them into one of the four.

TWO - in the terms of vampires, werewolves, and wizards/witches, i do not want to see anything on the side of extremely supernatural. i realize that vampires and werewolves have super strength, speed, and things but this does not mean that they can cause epic amounts of damage without themselves also being hurt. wizards and witches cannot do anything spectacular like changing the weather for long periods of time or change into an animal or something.

THREE - the werewolves usually dwell near the outskirts of the town, near The Black Forest. it is very uncommon for them to live in the heart of the town seeing as if they transform, they are more likely to be seen as they go out into the woodland to hunt. they have the power to create and control "earth" elements like forming small earthen obstacles and control strong gusts of air. werewolves loathe the vampires but are friends with the warlocks. it will be very uncommon for a werewolf and a vampire to get together and stay together.

FOUR - vampires may live anywhere in the town really. they tend to stay away from the church and places that their entire race is not accepted but a few brave ones live near religious structures. most vampires here drink animal blood instead of human since a human being drained of blood would cause such a riot in the town and would start a ton of trials that end up killing people. they are able to control and create things, usually small to medium sized animals and weather related things. they too, are friends with the witches and wizards.

FIVE - the witches/wizards may live anywhere really. they appear just as your normal folks except that they know black magic. to these wizards, this type of magic is invoked when wishing to kill, steal, injure, cause misfortune or destruction, or for personal gain without regard to harmful consequences to others. they may also change the weather for a short amount of time, for example, create a thick mist to cloud an small area. please keep their magic skills to their magic levels. meaning; a beginner wizard won't have the abilities and know-how to create something as complex as a mist or to do mass amounts of healing without nearly dying himself/herself.

SIX - now, this should be pretty obvious but humans cannot do magic without knowing anything about it, they cannot drink blood without side effects, they cannot turn into a wolf without being bitten or already a werewolf, and they cannot have any superhuman strengths. they are normal. like you and me.
