Life so reckless, tragedy endless
Welcome to the family
Why was he out in the woods? Johnny didn't really remember what all had possessed him and made him walk out into the night soaked forest near the brothel. Oh! Wait. He wanted to get firewood. In his mild state of panic of being along, he'd forgotten the reason. But that was Johnathan for you. He was twenty years old, but only about five foot four, with a childish sort of face, so it was almost easy to suspect him as younger than his age. A sigh worked out of his lips as his light brown eyes flickered everywhere, his arms full of sticks of wood and the likes. Maybe he already had enough for now? All he knew was that it was dangerous to be out. It was a full moon tonight, and Johnny was all too aware of what being out here could do to him. A loud twig snapping nearby was enough to cause the already jittery man to jump and scurry rapidly, running like he was trying to get out of a marathon in first place. He wove between the trees as fast as his little legs would carry him, erupting from the treeline and into a clearing before tensing up. Which way was out from here?!
His panicked mind had given in to the fear and made him run in the wrong direction. The loud thudding of his heart echoed in his ears as he looked around, his breathing rapid and heavy. Where to go, where to go. He bit his lower lip, clinging to the wood in his arms for dear life as he heard prowling creatures just beyond the light of the clearing. In all reality, it could have just been a deer or some other creature, but having worked with a vampire for the past few years of his life, he was automatically assuming some darker type of a creature. Fangs, claws, fur, and a blood chilling howl to freeze him in his spot. Still, it could have been anything, and he clung to the sticks as tightly as his arms would allow him, his breathing turning to the shallow point as the fear pricked his insides repeatedly. A loud SNAP! from the side sent him to screaming, his body diving as something barreled past him, bouncing off. "A d-d-deer. That's all it was!" he scolded himself, standing up and brushing off his clothes. His face was red hot from embarrassment, and he shook his head, picking up the wood that he'd dropped, grumbling to himself in agitation.
