0IIX. overall personality he isn't known to be the nicest guy around but if you impress him well enough, whether that be in appearances or some skill of yours, he'll be as good as gold to you. at least, that is until you piss him off and he has to kill you or harm you in some way. he prefers black magic but due to his past, he's had to stay toward the white magic to keep his identity from being found out. he's very secretive and keeps other's secrets just as well as he keeps his own. he is relatively trustworthy although he appears to be the most sweetest and best man in the world to every entrust anything with. looks can be deceiving, though.

Zachary Artemis Barton was not born Zachary Artemis Barton. He was actually born as Zachary James Newcastle. His parents were well known magicians and his mother had one of the sharpest of minds when it came to magic and potion brewing. His father, taught him spells before he could really talk. His godfather, Jeremiah, taught him even more spells and magic when his father died of cardiac arrest. When he was nine years old, he accidentally set a church on fire and killed all forty-seven people inside it. His mother, knowing it was only an accident and knowing the arsonist was her own son, she knew he couldn't stay in Germany anymore and she sent him off to his godfather who was a traveling wizard with the gypsies. So, little Zacky was toted off with Jeremiah to all parts of Europe. Wherever the gypsy caravans went, they went too, seeing as Jeremiah was secretly in love with one of them. And they had a stash full of potions and spells and all sorts of magical secrets. Zacky was taught and mentored by Jeremiah and several of the gypsy women, learning new spells and how to brew all sorts of potions and things every day. he grew so advanced in his wizarding that he became bored in the good intentions of it. as with all idle good men, only evil may come from it and it didn't take long for him to dip his talents into the black magic as well, despite his godfather's disapproval. he became very skilled in both black and white magic, so much that the gypsies began to envy his powers. eventually, his powers became so much greater than their own that they began to fear him and asked him to leave the traveling gypsy camp. they felt it was much safer that way. So he left. But he knew he could not return to Germany using his birth name so he took on his mother's first and maiden name for his own. Henceforth, Zachary Artemis Barton.
